A BROTHEL has been told to shut down or face the consequences.

It follows complaints from residents and businesses, who were fed up with seeing men call at the flat in London Road, Barking, from morning until late at night.

Abbey Safer Neighbourhood Team delivered a written warning to the premises last week.

It outlined the potential offences being committed, and asked the occupants to stop trading or move out. The letter also made it clear that if the warning was ignored the proprietor would be arrested

The SNT found three women working at the brothel.
