FORMER Orient player Wayne Burnett has returned to the club and will take on the role of youth team manager, initially until the end of the season as Kevin Nugent has stepped up to assist Geraint Williams.

The midfielder made 40 League appearances for Orient, before moving to Blackburn Rovers in 1992.

He was a team-mate of Nugent at both Orient and later Plymouth and he also played for Bolton, Huddersfield Town, Grimsby and Peterborough.

He moved into coaching and has been manager of Fisher and Grays Athletic.
