A key Bank of England policymaker is to share his thoughts on the state of the economy in Barking next month.
Martin Weale is a member of the Bank of England’s monetary policy committee, which sets UK interest rates with its governor Mervyn King.
The committee directs other aspects of the government’s monetary policy like quantitative easing.
Mr Weale is to attend a Chamber of Commerce breakfast at Eastbury Manor House in Eastbury Square, Barking, on January 23.
