The founder of social boxing organisation BoxUpCrime will be speaking at a bootcamp for young entrepeneurs.

Stehen Addison, from Barking and Dagenham, founded BoxUpCrime to help young people avoid gang crime and violence. He set up the organisation in 2013, after losing friends to gang crime.

Stephen will be one of the speakers at Red Bull’s Amaphiko Connect bootcamp in Hackney, a mentorship scheme which helps young people who have ideas on how to improve their communities.

The bootcamp will take place on November 3 and 4, connecting 18-29-year-olds with social entrepreneurs who will show them how to turn their ideas into viable business models.

Other speakers will include Newham’s Sade Brown, founder of a leadership organisation for young people, and TV presenter Bisi Akins.

There’ll be workshops on how to register a business, how to pitch a project, and how to manage social and digital content.
