A family chain has opened their first Turkish restaurant in East London.

There are four Aksular restaurants in North London and now a branch has been added in Chadwell Heath’s High Road.

Haydar Kalen, who runs the new restaurant with his cousin Niyazi Er, said business has been good since opening earlier this month.

“We wanted to come here because there are lots of customers around,” Haydar, who moved from Turkey to the Englad in 2003, added.

Mayor Eileen Keller officially opened the new restaurant which aims to offer an authentic Turkish experience.
