A woman was taken to hospital after fleeing a blaze inside a flat in the early hours of Sunday.
About 10 firefighters tackled the fire at a third floor flat in Green Lane, Dagenham, after 3.10am.
The woman, believed to be 40, suffered from smoke inhalation and was taken to Queen’s Hospital in Romford.
A small part of the flat damaged and the blaze was brought under control shortly before 4am.
The London Fire Brigade said the cause of the fire was under investigation.
