A MASSIVE government cash boost will be used to refurbish a popular community centre.
Ripple Community Centre, in St Erkenwald Road, Barking, is home to a number of organisations and voluntary groups, has secured a �932,750 grant.
The money will help refurbish the ground floor and construct a two-storey extension.
It will also see the creation of office space, a meeting room, and a community caf�.
The council received the funds from the Government's Community Asset scheme.
The council will then transfer ownership of the building to the Barking and Dagenham Council for Voluntary Services on a 25-year lease.
