A 15-year-old boy from Chadwell Heath is being questioned by police after a gun was discovered during a search of his home.

The teenager was initially held by officers who were called to reports of a gang fight in Ibscott Close, Dagenham, yesterday at around 5.20pm.

Following his arrest for possession with the intent to supply cannabis and theft offences, after he was found carrying an Oyster card and bank card in someone else’s name, officers visited his address where a firearm was found.

He is currently being quizzed by detectives from the Met’s Trident gangs team, who have arrested him for possession of a section 1 firearm.

A second teenager, Akin Akinkunle, was also arrested in connection with the fight. The 18-year-old, of Havering, was charged with driving and taking away, having no driving licence and no motor insurance.
