Lee Walker, 27, owner of Ill IT Solutions, in Tolworth Parade, Chadwell Heath, built the scene with help from local nursery children.

Featuring a poignant replica of a war grave with local period memories and authentic military uniforms, Lee was aided by youngsters from Sommerville Pre-school, Romford.

He said: “I met a family friend of Lee Rigby quite soon after the funeral, and it just brought home how not everyone supports our armed forces.

“It’s important that we remember those who have given the ultimate sacrifice while continuing to show our support for our brave troops.”

Lee also sold poppies for the Royal British Legion in the lead-up to the Remembrance Day commemorations, and last year raised £108.

He added: “I’ve had active servicemen on leave drop in, comment on the display and send pictures of back to their mates on the front-line, which is what it’s all about.

“The guys defending their country need to know that we’re supporting them.”
