A charity founder is on a mission to change people’s perceptions of the borough with a community fun day.

Following on from handing out food and blankets to more than 70 rough sleepers on Christmas Eve, Kieran Dunne will use Street Vibe Events to bring a bar, football and inflatables to Marks Gate Park in Tantony Green, Chadwell Heath.

Kieran, who lives in Gibbfield Close, is calling on groups from the borough and beyond to help him change what he says is a negative reputation.

“We want the community to come together,” the 23-year-old said. “We’re hosting it in Chadwell Heath because there’s not a lot going on there and I want to show the community that things can change. It’s got a really bad reputation and it’s only getting worse.”

To help Kieran host the free event on April 22, which will run from 12pm to 4pm, call him on 07495 912368.
