CHELSEA right back Nana Ofori-Twumasi has joined Dagenham & Redbridge on a one-month loan.

The 19-year-old is Daggers manager John Still's second signing of the week, after Gillingham midfielder Adam Miller also moved to Victoria Road for a month.

Ofori-Twumasi is a former Blues youth team captain and part of the side that made the FA Youth Cup Final two seasons ago, while he has made four reserve team appearances this season.

He was also been part of the England under-20s Word Championship campaign in Egypt and prior to signing for Daggers told tribalfootball.com that he was hoping to get a loan move this season.

"That's my main aim this season, to go out and enjoy a successful loan period," Ofori-Twumasi said.

"I really want a taste of first team football where you're under pressure to perform and a crowd behind you that are passionate about the team you play for.

"That would give me a real big buzz.

"My agent and Chelsea sat down in the summer to find out what plans they have for me and they came to the conclusion that me going out on loan to get some first team experience would be invaluable at this moment in time."
