A CHARITY for sexually abused children and their families has opened its new premises in the borough.

The Redbridge-based charity Step Up has now extended its services to 534 Rainham Road South, Dagenham.

It has a counselling suite, a charity shop at the front, and an office space at the back.

Co-founder Shelley Daldy said: "We go to court with families, we go into schools and we do outings for the families and for their siblings because they lose out just as much."

There will be a weekly drop-in for parents. The telephone helpline can be reached on (020) 8517 5888.

Anyone wishing to make an appointment should come into the shop between 10am until 4pm.

For more information about the charity go to www.step-up-charity.co.uk or e-mail: shelley.daldy@aol.com.
