A company’s employees have done a community clean up of Barking Park.

The team from Elevate East London, a joint venture between technology firm Agilisys and Barking and Dagenham Council, spent a few hours clearing leaves and picking up rubbish in the 30 hectare park.

Park ranger Ruth Taylor said: “We want to say a massive thank you to all of those from the company for all their hard work.

“The volunteer group made a significant difference to the appearance of the park and the grounds team were very happy with the results.”

Janet Stannard, employee of Elevate East London, said: “Being employee owned gives us a unique strength as it enables us to feel empowered to bring about positive change in the way we work with our customers.

“As employee owners we can show our support by giving something back and hopefully make a real difference to the communities we work in.”
