JOHN COYLE, Newham's 2009 national champion launched his 2010 Junior ABA title campaign in winning style at the Five Star Boxing club Harold Hill on Saturday with a points win over Repton rival Andrew Doe.
The talented rivals produced a high standard encounter as the North East London Divisional championships were decided.
However, it was the more effective attacks of the Newham club hope that put him in front as he took the referee's verdict.
George Moughton was another New-ham club hope moving through to the London junior finals at York Hall on March 28.
He came though his semi-final test against Broad Street, Stepney club entry Mal Rahman who he defeated with an impressive second-round stoppage.
In the final, Moughton faced West Ham BC rival Chris Smith and took a close verdict after an excellent contest.
Repton's talented Sam McNess slam-med his way to a points success over Newham's George Venness.
