Ambulance crews attended Station Parade, Barking, to reports of a serious assault.

A patient was rushed to hospital this afternoon after a crash between a car and a lorry.

London Ambulance Service were called to Ripple Road, Barking, shortly before 1pm and took a person to hospital.

Police attended the collision, which took place eastbound after the Lodge Avenue flyover. Delays are expected.
