REDBRIDGE boys cricket team will play at Lord s Cricket Ground on Saturday, after they emerged from the qualifying rounds of the Balfour Beatty London Youth Games Indoor Cricket Cup at Harrow Leisure Centre at the weekend.

REDBRIDGE boys' cricket team will play at Lord's Cricket Ground on Saturday, after they emerged from the qualifying rounds of the Balfour Beatty London Youth Games Indoor Cricket Cup at Harrow Leisure Centre at the weekend.

The weekend's competition saw around 250 youngsters aged 13 and under scrapping it out to make it through to the Super8 finals at the home of cricket.

Redbridge emerged unbeaten from group eight to make sure of their place in the Lord's finale, beating Bromley, Harrow and Enfield on their way through.

"The boys are very excited that they will play at Lord's. Last year we were runners-up, but we are going for the win this time," said Trevor Hebden, Redbridge team manager.

The boys' team will now join Bexley, Barking & Dagenham, Ealing, Richmond, Lewisham, Ealing and Hillingdon in the Super8 finals.
