A 43-year-old man from Barking has been arrested in connection with an alleged attempted armed robbery at a supermarket.

The man was arrested on suspicion of robbery and released under investigation while enquiries continue into the alleged incident at Tesco in the Brook Retail Park, Clacton, Essex, on January 18.

A 30-year-old man from Dagenham has previously been arrested on suspicion of robbery and released under investigation.
