A teenager has been injured after two robbers tried to steal his moped in Dagenham today.

The 19-year-old suffered an injury to his leg when he was pushed off his vehicle by two suspects on a moped in Porters Avenue at around 11.25am.

The victim was rushed to hospital where his condition is not believed to be life threatening.

Police closed a section of the road but it has since been reopened.

Detectives from the East Area Command Unit are investigating and are appealing for anyone with information to call 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
