A Met Police officer has been sacked after she was caught lying about her attendance at work.
Pc Sarah Medlock who was attached to the East Area Command, which covers Barking and Dagenham, Havering and Redbridge, got a colleague to sign her as being at work when she was not there.
She was accused of knowingly allowing another officer to log into the police ‘booking on’ system to create the false impression and admitted some of the allegations.
Yesterday she was dismissed without notice for breaching professional standards of “discreditable conduct” and “honesty and integrity” which amounted to gross misconduct.
She is banned from working in policing.
