The university student accused of throwing acid in the face of Naomi Oni will stand trial in September.
The victim spent a month in hospital after the attack in Lodge Avenue, Dagenham, on December 30 last year and has been left with life-changing injuries.
Mary Konye, 21, of Throckmorten Road, Canning Town, is charged with throwing corrosive fluid with intent to disfigure or do grievous bodily harm to Ms Oni.
Konye appeared at a preliminary hearing at Snaresbrook Crown Court today.
She was remanded in custody and will next appear at the same court on July 12 for a plea and case management hearing.
A trial date was fixed for September 9 and is expected to last three weeks.
