A church has undergone a �250,000 revamp.
The Salvation Army in Ripple Road, Barking, has new windows, glassed doors, a coffee area and a new youth hall after the congregation raised at least �125,000 and the rest was put up by their headquarters.
Church youth worker Vanessa Nsilu, 17, helped to collect �40,000 for the Salvation Army in the last two years.
The youth hall draws at least 20 youngsters every evening from 6pm. For more information, call 020 8594 2964.
