Armed police recovered an imitation firearm from a house in Dagenham this morning.
Police were called to Lullington Road at 9am, with nearby residents reporting on social media that armed officers and a police helipcopter were in the area.
A man in his 20s was arrested and taken into custody.
Police are further analysing the weapon that was seized.
