The roll-out of brown wheelie bins has begun, with around 15,000 delivered to homes in the first two weeks.
Deliveries have been made initially to houses which have their refuse collected on Mondays. Houses with Tuesday collections will be the next to get their bins, followed by Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.
The full roll-out of 57,000 bins, which replace orange bags, is set to be finished by the end of November.
