A noisy neighbour blasted his music so loudly the bassline shook walls and windows across the housing estate in Barking where he lived.

However Robert Blasse of Anglian House in Renwick Road, refused to accept he was behind the vibrations instead blaming the WIND for making his neighbour’s lives a misery.

The unemployed 40-year-old was hauled before the courts by Barking and Dagenham Council after he ignored two notices ordering him to turn his music down. The court heard he continued to play his music with his windows and balcony door open.

His cheeky defence was blown out and last week he was fined £500 and ordered to pay costs of £1204.74 and had his stereo seized.

Councillor Laila Butt, cabinet member for enforcement and community safety, said: “I hope Blasse and other noisy neighbours get the message – we will not tolerate anyone making our residents’ life a misery.”
