Barking MP Margaret Hodge is holding a public meeting to discuss policing and crime in the borough.

The meeting, which will be attended by the deputy mayor of London for policing and crime, Sophie Linden, will take place at 6.30pm on Monday, February 19 at the Barking Learning Centre’s conference suite.

The meeting is open to all and attendees can raise questions and concerns about policing in the borough.

Ms Hodge said: “Policing and crime is one of the most pressing issues affecting Barking and Dagenham.

“I know first-hand just how important it is to residents that we maintain a strong police presence in Barking town centre and the Heathway in order to deter crime.

“I am pleased that the deputy mayor for policing and crime has agreed to come to Barking and listen to residents’ concerns directly.”
