A woman’s bag was taken from her pram by two men while her child sat inside.
CCTV footage shows the mother tending to her children at Argos in Vicarage Field Shopping Centre, Barking, as the brazen duo repeatedly reach under the pram until they find and grab her bag.
At one point a man is seen rummaging in the pram with such determination that his companion has to hold it still with his foot.
Police want to speak with two suspects seen in the video of the incident, which occurred on Saturday, September 19 at around 1.40pm.
One man is described as black, in his 30s, 5ft 6in tall and bald with a black T-shirt, black body warmer and blue denim jeans.
The other is described as black, also in his 30s, 5ft 10in tall and bald, who was wearing a dark blue jumper and blue denim jeans.
Anyone who can identify either of these men or witnessed the incident is asked to call Barking and Dagenham police on 101, quoting the references MetCu 190600 or MetCu 190601. Alternatively, call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
