A minicab driver suffered a fractured eye socket after passengers kicked him in the head in an unprovoked attack, police said.

The 33-year-old man was assaulted at Shell petrol station in Wood Lane, Dagenham, at around 8.30am on December 9.

A Met spokesman said: “Due to the violent and unprovoked nature of this attack, we are keen to speak to anyone who can assist with this investigation. Don’t hesitate, if you have information please make the call.”
