A Victorian warehouse transformed into a thriving creative industry hub has won an urban design award.
The Granary, in Abbey Road, Barking, is a striking landmark which features business units inside as well as a new waterside caf�-restaurant close to the River Roding.
The former granary was one of 27 projects to be awarded a 2012 Civic Trust Award at a ceremony in Edinburgh last month.
