More than 150 cannabis plants were found in a Chadwell Heath house on Friday.
Acting on intelligence from the community, police raided the house in Geneva Gardens, also seizing hydroponics equipment.
No arrests were made but an investigation is now underway.
Sgt Rob Bell of Chadwell Heath Safer Neighbourhoods Team said: “Cannabis factories are not only illegal; they are dangerous to surrounding properties and residents. Tampered wiring and flammable liquids make cannabis factories highly unstable and a serious fire hazard. Anyone who suspects that a property is being used as a cannabis factory should contact their Safer Neighbourhoods Team or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
