Acid attack victim Naomi Oni’s alleged attacker has denied throwing the corrosive liquid that left her face scarred, a court heard.
Mary Konye, 21, appeared at Snaresbrook Crown Court on Friday accused of throwing sulphuric acid at Victoria’s Secret worker Naomi, 21, as she walked home from work along Lodge Avenue, Dagenham, in December last year.
Student Konye, of Throckmorten Road, Canning Town, who worked at clothing stores in Westfield Stratford City and went to the University of Hertfordshire, appeared via video link in court.
She is due to stand trial on January 6 and denies throwing a corrosive liquid with intent to maim or cause grievous bodily harm.
