Dagenham boy, 16, arrested following burglary in Essex

A 16-year-old boy from Dagenham has been arrested suspicion of burglary, theft and possession of knives by police in North Stifford.

The youth was found in possession of a large carving knife and someone else’s driving licence when he was held by Essex Police this morning at around 2.45am.

Officers were called to a burglary at an address in Birchfield where a motorbike had been stolen at 1.45am.

The motorbike was later found abandoned and the teenager was arrested by police who were searching the area.
