Football stars “showed racism the red card” today as they hosted a student workshop in a bid to kick prejudice out of the game.
About 120 pupils met Daggers captain Abu Ogogo, left back Femi Ilesanmi and former captain Anwar Uddin at Dagenham and Redbridge FC in Victoria Road, Dagenham.
The workshop sought to raise awareness of racial prejudice in football and was organised as part of the Show Racism the Red Card campaign.
The club will stage its annual Daggers Against Racism Day during a game against Rochdale on January 12.
