A man from Dagenham has been arrested on suspicion of stealing bicycles.
The 23-year-old was arrested after two bicycles were recovered by police from Basildon town centre, on August 15.
It is believed they were stolen on the same day.
He was bailed until September 14 pending further enquiries.
Officers are now looking to trace the rightful owners of the bikes. One is a red Apollo Phaze and the other is a silver Ammaco Y Framed bike.
