Michael Ade-Ojo, of Sterry Crescent, was found guilty of seven counts of possession with intent to supply Class A and B drugs and sentenced at Snaresbrook Crown Court on Tuesday, May 26, following a four-day trial.

He was stopped by officers from Gooshays Neighbourhoods Policing Team coming out of a flat in Neave Crescent, Harold Hill, on October 18 last year.

Officers searched the address and found 638g of cocaine plus 610g of MDEA.

They also seized 50 rounds of 7.65mm ammunition.

A further 9g of high purity cocaine, 8.5kg of chemicals used to cut cocaine and 328g of MDMA powder were found at Mr Ade-Ojo’s house.

Upon arrest, he was taken to an east London police station and later charged with possession with intent to supply Class A and B drugs, and possession of ammunition for a firearm without a certificate.

He was remanded in custody to appear at Barkingside Magistrates’ Court on October 20, 2014.

Serg Brad Scott, of Gooshays Neighbourhood Policing Team, said: “This really was a fantastic piece of policing by the officers concerned.

“A significant amount of drugs have now been taken off the streets of Havering, along with ammunition that had the potential to kill or cause serious injury.

“My officers work hard to keep their ward safe and their actions have shown they are proving successful in the fight against crime.”

The charge of possessing ammunition without certificate was discharged.
