A building contracts manager who downloaded more than 1000 child pornography images has been spared jail.
Kevin Statham, 43, was caught with 1,349 indecent photographs of children following a police investigation into his Internet activities.
Statham, of Wright’s Close, Dagenham received a six month jail sentence, suspended for 12 months, at Southwark Crown Court on Friday.
The judge Recorder Patricia Lynch, QC, ordered him to complete 200 hours of unpaid work, gave him a 10 year sexual offences prevention order and placed him on the sex offenders register for 10 years.
