Firefighters were called out to fix a sign that was hanging precariously near a busy shopping area.
Estate agent Bairstow Eves’ shop sign was “loose and hanging about in the wind” according to firefighters who secured it to prevent any injury to passers-by should it fall down.
Crew from Dagenham took half-an-hour to prevent the accident in waiting after being called out at about 8.30pm on Sunday.
