Jordan Gharib, 26, from Harrow, north west London, was jailed for one year and nine months, Conna Crozier, 20 from Feltham, west London, was given 18 months, Sacha Taieb, 20, from Richmond, south west London, and Israele Registe, 19, of no fixed address, were both given a two year suspended jail sentence at Snaresbrook Crown Court.

The court heard nine officers, including a police woman, were injured during the attack at the unlicensed event attended by 1,000 people in Thames Road in June 2016.

Police who were called to the venue had closed down the rave and most of the crowd left peacefully.

However they came under attack by an angry mob which resulted in four of them being rushed to hospital with one sustaining a deep cut to his face.

The venue had also been covered in graffiti and the doors and gates had been damaged.

Property and vehicles near the rave were also damaged.

Taieb was arrested during the attack and the other three were identified after Operation Valance was launched by the Met’s Public Order Investigation Unit to track them down.

A week after the attack Crozier and Registe were arrested for attempting to break into a warehouse in Wembley, and Gharib was held at his home on a later date.

Det Sgt Matthew Hearing, investigating officer, said: “These men were involved in an illegal event which left streets, vehicles and buildings severely damaged.

“Their violent criminal behaviour caused a number of people to be injured.

“They showed no regard for the welfare of the local community, others attending the rave or the police, and were intent on injuring officers going about their duties.

“This behaviour is completely unacceptable and left an entire community shocked. This investigation shows we will identify and bring to justice those who are intent on inciting violence and causing harm at this kind of illegal event.

“I would like to thank the local community and businesses in the area for their cooperation and support throughout the course of this investigation.”
