Police arrested a 27-year-old man on suspicion of burglary after a chase involving the Met police helicopter.
After spotting a man in their rear garden, and another “loitering suspiciously” in front of their neighbour’s property, residents in Geneva Gardens, Chadwell Heath, dialled 999.
Officers pursued on foot with assistance from the MPS helicopter overhead and eventually arrested the man, from Ilford, on February 7 at around 6pm.
The man was released on bail pending further enquiries and forensic results.
