The trial of three men accused of attempted murder at Dagenham Sunday Market was due to begin today.

D’angelo Miller, 20, of Farquhar Road, Crystal Palace appeared alongside Lutfi Zabitler, 19, of Hothfield Place, Southwark, and Jay Smith, 22, of Bostall Lane, Abbey Wood, at Snaresbrook Crown Court in connection with a 30-year-old being stabbed at the River Road market on May 1.

All three defendants have pleaded not guilty to attempted murder and possessing a bladed article.

The trial is expected to last two weeks.
