The jury in the case investigating the death of 15-year-old Joel Adesina has begun considering a verdict.

Georgie Phillips, 20, of Hood Walk, Romford is accused of murdering the Dagenham teenager after he was stabbed on December 5 last year in Bethnal Green’s Padbury Court.

Joel died from a stab wound to the liver on December 6.

An Old Bailey jury was today sent away to consider whether Phillips, who pleads not guilty to the charge of murder, should be convicted for the crime.

The trial continues.
