A rogue landlord has been fined a second time for renting out illegal bedsits in Dagenham.
Petko Borisov ignored warning from Barking and Dagenham Council by continuing to squeeze tenants into the rundown unlicensed bedsits in an illegal outbuilding in the garden of the property in Manor Road.
He also rented out illegally converted bedsits inside the property too despite being fined almost £7,000 in November 2015 after both buildings were raided by enforcement officers from.
Last week, Barkingside Magistrates’ Court heard he ignored a notice from the council to stop renting out both buildings resulting in this second prosecution.
Borisov, from Lewisham, was fined £10,000 and ordered to pay additional costs of £2,650.
