‘Leg in lake’ Dagenham dad: Three tried for murder from today

Three men accused of murdering dad-of-two Neill Buchel, whose body was found after a severed leg was spotted in White Hart Lakes in The Chase, Dagenham, in April, are due to stand trial from today.

Scott Hunt, 41, Neill’s housemate from Braintree Road, Dagenham; Chas Quye, 36, of Stansgate Road; and Elvis Kwiatkowski, 36, of Clopton Close, Royston, are all set to appear at Blackfriars Crown Court having pleaded not guilty to murder last year.

Colin Bushaway, 61, of Gregory Crescent, Eltham, and Alan Quinn, 28, of Lynette Road, Dagenham, are due to stand trial after denying conspiracy to pervert the course of justice. Bushaway is also charged with preventing lawful and decent burial of a body.
