A lorry driver has been rebailed until July after inquiries continue into the death of a 25-year-old woman who was killed in Green Lane, Dagenham.
The man was arrested in conjunction with the incident outside Cash Concepts on the A1083/Green Lane following the incident on March 5, and was originally released on bail until May.
Masuma Mawji, former student of nearby Mayfield School, Pedley Road, and Redbridge College, Barley Lane, Little Heath, died at the scene after the lorry hit her while she “walked along the zebra crossing” after popping out for lunch.
She had been visiting her father at the family business, Nuchem Pharmacy, also in Green Lane, when she died.
Her sister Fatma Ladak, 34, said Masuma “was so chatty, bubbly and kind-hearted and she had an infectious smile and warm personality.”
