A man has been charged with attempted murder after allegedly holding a 16-year-old’s head under water in a Dagenham lake.

Dishad Essa Ibrahim, 27, of Romsey Road, Dagenham was charged on Sunday following an apparent attack on the boy in Parsloes Park at 7.50pm on May 31.

During the assault the suspect allegedly repeatedly punched him, before dragging him into the lake and holding his head under water.
