A man was rushed to hospital with head injuries after an assault in Dagenham early today.
The man, thought to be in his 20s, was found drifting in and out of consciousness near the Eastbrook pub in Dagenham Road at 1am.
Police said they were investigating a suspected GBH, but could not confirm if any arrests had been made this morning.
Medics conveyed a patient to an unnamed hospital as a priority and police had a cordon in place in Dagenham until 8am.
