A 40-year-old man pleaded not guilty to manslaughter this morning and will stand trial later this year.
Lee Baker, of Crispe House, Dovehouse Mead, Barking, denied the charge at the Old Bailey.
The 48-year-old victim was found collapsed in Barking and died in hospital on June 16.
Baker has been remanded in custody to reappear at the Old Bailey on December 5.
