A shooting victim is believed to be in a stable condition after suffering a gunshot to the chest.
The man, thought to be in his 20s, was found in Grove Road, Chadwell Heath, after police were called to the scene at 1.20am on Saturday.
An ambulance crew treated him at the scene before taking him as a priority to an east London Hospital.
Officers from the MPS Trident Gang Crime Command unit are investigating.
So far no arrests have been made.
