Murder investigation launched after man stabbed in Dagenham

A murder investigation has been launched after a man was stabbed in Dagenham in the early hours of this morning.
Officers were called at around 05.35am after reports someone had been attacked outside The Beaver Centre, on Selinas Lane.
London Ambulance Service took the man, believed to be aged 24, to an east London hospital but he was pronounced dead at around 07.15am.
Next of kin have been informed.
A 38-year-old man was arrested in connection with the investigation today an address in Goodmayes and remains in custody at an east London police station.

Although officers believe they know who the victim is, a formal identification and a post-mortem exam is yet to be carried out.
Detectives want to hear from everyone who was at the Beaver Centre last night, especially anyone who saw the dispute or the attack.
Police are also keen to hear from anyone who saw or heard anything suspicious.
