No westbound District Line this weekend

There will be no District line westbound from Barking station this weekend.

Transport for London said the closure was necessary to carry out Crossrail work at Whitechapel station.

The Hammersmith & City line will also not run between Barking and Liverpool Street due to line upgrade work.

London Overground services will run to their usual weekend timetable.
