Police investigating an allegation of rape closed Barking Park this morning to search for clues.
According to a Met spokesman, the investigation remains at a very early stage. She would only reveal that the alleged offence took place on Monday evening, October 20, but would not confirm the gender or age of the alleged victim.
No arrests had been made at this time. Enquiries are ongoing.
